I love Harry. Harry is my soon-to-be husband. That's the first reason I'm compelled to mention him in the opening of my very first blog. Second, because Harry is my favorite man, I am sitting in the Government Documents room at the Birmingham Public Library working on my blog. Harry is looking for material for a book he is preparing to write. Third, Harry inspires me in a way I may never be able to describe. Let's just call it Harry Love.
Libraries are environmentally speaking -very cool places. Think reuse. I love the marble tile floors, the old wooden desks, the soft hum of a machine somewhere in the background. All very nice. So, I've started to think about weddings. I think I'll go find a few books that may inspire .

- Hello, I'm a party & event specialist producing environmentally thoughtful weddings and events. I've worked in and around the event planning business my entire career. Planning everything from fashion shows and weddings, to cocktail parties and charity events. Working as a Special Events Coordinator in fashion, Women's Clothing Buyer, Product Designer of accessories, gifts, & women's clothing, VP of Merchandising, Stay-at-Home Mom (yes, that counts as a job,because it is both fun and demanding)...all led me here. I became interested in "environmental issues" while working on an Earth Day event. Fast forward-and here I am. Combining a career I love with a personal passion. I think this is considered "right path." I don't try to turn my clients into tree-huggers. I only try to work with my clients to produce an event that allows us to "do good," or at least not so very badly. Environmentally speaking-of course. That is my intent-and the one I would like to share with you. So, be prepared to travel this path with me to indulge ourselves in all things wedding, and all things environmental.
